Sweetheart came to us from a gentleman who could no longer care for him. He raised Sweetheart from a baby for several years, but when he got married, well, Sweetheart no longer "fit" into the new family picture. The new wife, kids, cats and dogs caused Sweetheart a great deal of stress, and we were more than happy to try to provide him a new loving forever home free of such stresses.. Awards

Hi! My name is Sweetheart (AKA - the Killer)

I am a Congo African Grey from Dale City, VA.

Killer bird

9 years old   M

Congo African Grey

The safety of my cage or my daddy's shoulder and absolutely nowhere else!

Everything except my daddy

Well, I love my daddy and I like my Paw-Paw, but I don't particularly care for momma or mee-maw. Maybe because the women in my previous home were so mean to me. Momma is always trying to bribe me with treats, great new toys, and you should see the new cage she got for me, but I really only allow her to clean my cage, fill my food dish, and occasionally put some new toys in my cage.

Learning only those sounds and words that I feel like and annoying the heck out of momma by calling her name over and over and over...hehehe.

Bring that finger a little closer, and I'll show you just how much of a Sweetheart I am..

  Hi Sweetheart
Another grey from VA, I thought that I would give you a fly by and say Hello. I am new to VA, and kinda worried about this stuff they call *snow*. I was hatched in Hawaii, so I have not made any friends yet, hope you will stop by some time and say hi...

Come visit me, Ozzy, Tequila & Elvis.

  Another Virginia Bird
Hi Sweatheart,
Just thought I'd say hi 'cause I live in Va too. Mommy says when it gets warmer around here I'll be able to go outside more...she's gonna put my old cage on the porch so we can sit in the sun together.
I'm gonna vote for you. Virginia grey birds have got to stick together!

Come visit me, Obi.
