Did I tell you about the monsters across the street? The fields across the street are being mowed and they are planting something, and there are big tractors. Can you say SCARY?? Mommy keeps saying it's not scary, but I truly believe they are giant monsters bent on killing all the parrots in the neighborhood. Yesterday mommy got some pictures of them. Digital proof of their existence. Come check them out and see what you think. Don't be fooled. They don't say 'Parrot Killing Machinery' on the sides, but nonetheless, that's their true mission. But good news! I think all my friends from the BC scared them off! I told everyone about them, and everyone came to give their support! I'm looking out the window a LOT and there's nothing going on. The big yellow monster that comes every morning and eats the children next door came and went, and still no monsters in the field. Now, what to do about the big yellow monster... V4u. Teacake here, hoping that I can help you with your sister's egg-laying issue. I have never laid eggs, even though I am a girl, but I have had flockmates that did. It really takes a lot out of them so it's a good idea to try and get them to stop. Recently, our female budgie, Jheri laid eggs. Mom didn't want baby budgies because first of all there are already 9 birds in this flock and second, we have 2 Senegals in our flock that are not nice and mom was worried about little baby birds getting hurt. What she did was go to www.fakebirdeggs.com and order budgie sized eggs. Then she replaced the eggs that Jheri laid with these fake ones. Jheri sat on them like they were her own for about 3 weeks or so, until she realized that they were not going to hatch and then she came out of her nest and did not lay anymore eggs. If you take the eggs away without replacing them with fake ones, Chloe will keep laying to replace them. Lots of luck with your flock! Stay in touch and let us know how everything goes. Cheers!
