Hello!
A Harlequin macaw is a cross between a Green-Wing macaw and a Blue & Gold. A Catalina is a cross between a Blue & Gold and a Scarlet. The difference between a Scarlet and a Green-Wing is that Scarlets have thin to no facial feather lines. Also, the Scarlet has a yellow band of feathers on the wing where a Green-Wing has a green band of feathers. I believe your bird may be a Shamrock, which is a cross between a Military and a Scarlet. It was really nice here today, very low humidity. Mom sd we need rain because of the garden. We got squash and cucumbers coming out our gazoo. Maui you sure are a handsome bird, and I bet a lot of fun. Hope you'll watch the ballgame between the Sennies and the Amazons here on BC. My sis CoCo is playing for the Sennies and she's all pumped up. She doesn't know a lot about baseball other than stand around on the field trying to look cute. teehee It will be fun though. Also do you know about Asha's party July3rd. Everyone will be dropping in the whole weekend to party with our birdie friends. Asha lives in GA and is an amazon. Her team is playing the Sennies I'm sure you'll hear a lot of trash talking between the Sennies and the Amazons. It's all in keeping with tradition of baseball. Sweat, spit, scratch ourselves and puff up our feathers. Even if you don't play, choose a team you wanna root for and the fun begins. Didn't know if you knew all this or not. If you have scratch it. Military Macaws are almost all green, and they have a red puff above their nose. I'm not sure what kind you are. Maybe a scarlet? Although they usually are a little more red than you. And they don't usually have as much green on the top of their wings. What color is your beak? it's hard to tell from the picture. Is it white or black? I'll have my friend who runs the local parrot rescue take a look at you. She has several macaws, and she might be able to pin it down. I'm going camping till sunday (woo hoo!!) but feel free to come leave me messages and I'll read them when I get back. Have a good weekend. V4u. Mom was originally born in Arkansas but considers TN her home. She's been here since she was 19. She loves east Tn, and wishes she lived in that part of Tn instead. She hates Memphis. We live 25 miles outside of Mphs in a small town, that's the only way she can stand it.hehe
