Quinn I bought from a bucket at a bird fair. He was a featherless baby ( can we say sympathy buy?)
Sora was a wild baby quaker who was in a nest collapse and badly injured.
Nemo was lost in the wild but a pet bird. When we could not find his home he insisted he stay with us.

Hi! My name is Quinn, Sora and Nemo

I am from Sarasota, FL.

Quinn calls himself Quinn Quinn the quaker. I call him The Mighty Quinn. Sora is the mouth and Nemo is Love Bug.

11 years old   M

Anything you give them! If one quaker has it they ALL want it!

On Mommy or Daddy! Where one quaker is you find them all.

Any birds other then quakers who think they can go near our cage!

We love our Mommy because she feeds us and gives us lots and lots of kisses

We squabble like little kids all the time. We like to play Quaker in the middle. We all get on Mommy and who ever gets stuck in the middle gets picked on. The one in the middle will edge it's way out and another quaker gets stuck in the middle..

Mine Mine Mine!.

I have a favor to ask of you. Can you please stop by Cory's page and give him a vote. He deserves to be BOTW. He was abused very badly and he would really appreciate the honor. All you have to do to find him is go to the Profile button on the top of your page, hit that and then type in Cory where it says, searching name, that will take you to his picture, click on that and then you'll be at his page. Thanks alot and I hope you have a great day. Love, Rocky? R(*><~)R p.s. I left you a vote to.

Hi wow that is awsome to kill any life especially in that manner! I do not have FPL I have local Utilities commission in town here and I have not noticed any quakers yet. Why aren't they aggressively killing fire ants and termites that are doing much more damage! It p's me off to hear how cruel that is . :( I love ALL birds. Someone needs to speak out ,true.

Lynda- Thanks for the info. We plan on moving to FL within the next year and I wouldn't want to move to a state that they are illegal in!!!!! They are such beautiful birds I don't understand how anyone could harm them! Puffy and Blueberry thank you for the info. What part of FL to yo live in? We are moving around the Tampa area.

Come visit me, Macey, Puffy & Blueberry.

Quinn is absolutely adorable!!!!!! Puffy would never stay still long enough to lay there for a pic like that. He is always on the run if you know what I mean and has the biggest mouth! If he isn't talking he is screaming. I agree with you on the quaker situation in FL!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are considering moving there with in a year. Are they illegal to keep as pets in FL? I need to check these things out cause I couldn't live without my two babies and of course my mace mace too!

Come visit me, Macey, Puffy & Blueberry.

  The plight of wild quakers:

Here in Florida and other states wild quakers are common and numerous. You can see wild quakers in Conneticut, Brooklyn New York and Chicago among other places.

In Florida and many other places quakers are considered a feral pest. Quakers are being killed. Whole nests are gassed while the birds sleep inside. Nests are ripped down during breeding season while filled with babies and egg. One case here in Sarasota involved someone throwing a nest full of babies into a wood chipper. Did the person get arrested or even fined? No!

Wild quaker babies quickly tame into wonderful, bright, loving pet birds. There is no excuse in the world to harm a baby quaker!

They build large nests on powerlines which is a valid concern, they can be noisy and trees where nests are built can look messy if you have no appreciation for the wonders of nature. But there are other alternatives then destroying the wild quakers.

Florida Power and Light have admitted on television they kill quakers. If you are a customer of FPL let them know how you feel about their so called Quaker Management!

Come visit me, Duke, Oliver, Zorro, Quinn, Sora and Nemo, Maxi & Sammy.

Hello Quinn, Sora, and Nemo! My mama's sister loves Quakers, but unfortunately they are illegal in California. She has never seen one in person and would like to have the law changed. You all have very cute pictures. Those wings are spectacular.

Come visit me, Pepper, Poirot, Pringle & Artistic Avian Avatars.
