 My husband and I were at a bird fair to buy some cheap toys for out quaker parrot and Spree was being raffled off. We spent ten dollars and put in a few tickets. Next thing we new Spree was in our car coming home (cage and all). We were eating a box of Sprees (the candy) while we waited for the drawing and that is how she got her name :) Hatch Date: 12/6/07
Spree was not treated well as a baby. She was headed down the road to a rough life. Luckily we were able to tame her after a lot of work. But, we wouldn't change her for the world. She is a wonderful addition to our family. Please consider adoption for your next parrot addition. There are so many birds in need of a forever home :). |

I am a Sun Conure from Mogadore, OH.

 Sun Conure
She is a nutriberry fan. She also likes peppers, apples, carrots, pineapple, grapes and berries.
 She is in love with her dome top cage because she can slide down the bars. Her new favorite spot is a rope perch on the outside of her cage where she can hang upside down for ever...or until something else exciting happens! She loves to be under my hair or in a sleeve but her favorite spot of all is her happy hut.
 She has to be the center of attention. She always wants to be near our quaker parrot Elliot, even when he is in a bad mood. She hates fingers or sudden movements (she was not tame when we brought her home and is still adjusting)
 My mom and dad are the best. They spend every minute with me and my brother while they are home. They let us hang out in every room and we get to destroy whatever we want! They also are a lot nicer than my previous owner. I get to come out of my cage and they give me lots of scritches and cuddle time!
 When she is on top of her cage screaming for attention and doesn't get it, she throws herself onto the floor to be saved. She also takes baths in her water bowl almost every day. And every time we pick her up she has to stretch both feet..
 If you can't hear me...I'll just yell louder!.

So cute!!! I love my sun conure. I really wanted a Quaker parrot at one time, but they are illegal to own in pa. It’s so very awful really, however I really like Tang my sun conure. Come visit me, Tang.

Thanks for visiting me and boy am I glad you got a great home. I was being neglected at my other home so the human boy took me to my new mom. I get out every day and get lots of apples and crackers as treats. Mom gave me a pear today and I love them. I love to be in my hut and i just got a new happy perch that i can use in the shower (i love it in there) and the windows (we live in a apartment with a busy street below). I'm also not too fond of fingers but I'm getting better about not trying to bite them! I love to chew. I'm happiest in my cage chewing cotton ropes.
