 I got Pigeon from a bird specialty store in VA. I was a student at UMD and had jsut gone through a terrible break up. I had always had birds so my mom thought that if I had a bird to keep my mind off of things it would cheer me up. The second I saw Pigeon I knew I had to have him. He was so homely looking, but I loved him the minute I saw him. I was told he was a Maximillian's Pionus, but he was really a Blue-Head.. |

 Pidge, Pidgey, Meatball, Pi, Punkin

I was a great eater!
 In bed, the bird stand, anywhere except his cage
 Pidge loved everything and everyone
 I loved Pigeon with all of my heart, and I miss him every single day. He LOVED to chew on things and I still am not sure what he got in to, but he got lead poisoning. I took him to one of the top avian vets in the country, but it was too late.
 He used to love to take showers, he chewed everything he could get his beak on.
 Only the good die young.

I'm so sorry about your dear bird, Pigeon. I love his name. You seem like a real bird lover and take great care and spend lots of time with your bird, so I hope in time you will be able to let another little bird into your heart. It's hard though when you loved that little guy so much. You are a great bird-mom, and Pigeon loved you for it. Take care. Come visit me, Cherry, Parsley & Tiki.

Sorry about your loss
Sounds like you really loved this bird. It can happen, like kids they always seem to get into trouble especially the smaller ones . He seemed so sweet! Well with time maybe you can get another one. I know it never is meant to replace, but always nice to give a bird a home that may need one.
