I wanted a cockatoo for several years because I heard they do not bond with just one person like most other parrots. I came across a 3 month old at (I hate to say it) a pet store that was not weaned yet. I spent all day with him there, fell in love with him, and he with me, and took him home that evening as the store was closing.. |

I am an Umbrella Cockatoo from Hagerstown, MD.
 Cuddle-Bug, Pooky-poo, Goober, Mommy's handsome little man, .

Smuckers all natural peanut butter on 15 grain bread, chicken, and apples and anything mom is eating.
 I love looking out any window.
 I do NOT like kids, especially younger children.
 She loves me SO MUCH and I have had a great home for over 14 years. My mommy takes me with her in the shower for baths then blowdrying. She preens my head feathers and gives me scritches and kisses. She will always love me and keep me til she croaks.
 I will eat peanut butter and pick peanuts out of my nutri-berri treats, but I won't eat peanuts any other way if offered to me. I am also kinda "potty-trained" in that I will go "on command" if I have to. I go to certain spots to doopy-doo or let mommy know I have to go and she will move me to Poo Zone, but if I have to go, I just go no matter where I am..

Hi Cuddle Bug
I just left Gabby's page and decided to stop on over here to say hello. I had another Vet visit today, I'm gaining my weight back and the feathers on my back are growing back in and I'm not picking them other than to keep them in place. My head wound is healing nicely but I did get a new cream to apply, he hopes that will help the scab come off on it's own. I also got some calcium powder to put on my food. We're very pleased with my progress, it was touch and go there for a while and Mom was so stressed and worried about me, but now we think things are getting much better. Thanks for carrying around that banner of prayer for me, that's so sweet of you. We miss you on BC, although I've not been as faithful as I haVe in the past with visiting with many of my friends. I'm doing okay, just a little feather picking on my back, it itches sometimes fierce, but Mom watches me like a hawk to keep me from picking the new feather growth.
