Heya, Kiwi!
Well, well...stopping by to bring you this wonderful Hatchday cake, made by Lizzie, of course! And she also brought along someone special for you to visit with...Baby Dirl!! She won't be able to stay long...but she wanted to say hi to you on your very special day. Lizzie said that was the sweetest thing ever, and that is true. Cake is big enough for everyone....and the wishes that come with it are just as big!

How's the weather there? We were warm the last few days, 60s, but tomorrow high is in the 40s. With the weird stuff happening on the east and west coast, just wondering if you have strange weather too. Is it still pleasant enough to go fishing?

Boy, that's for sure — that part about Baby Dirl bein' a good one. Do you still say her name on occasion? I hope it doesn't sound like the voice of a Quaker with a broken heart but one who's happy t'have some fond memories of a beautiful little Quaker~Girl. Then again, a twinge of broken heartedness would be understandable. You lost a best buddy, a faithful sidekick, your soulmate. I'm still bummed about that.

Great t'hear from you. How's everything with the clan? Things are good here. Everybirdie's intact and in good shape which is a good thing. It was a hot summer here with little to no rain from early June 'til mid-August. We were about baked! It's of course cooler here now, so cool in fact that all the perches were taken down in the aviary today. I guess that means there's no hope of an Indian Summer yet this season. Shucks. Oh well, it was a good summer. Hope yours was too Kiwi.

Hi Kiwi,
pics today are of 2 parrotlets & a peach face love bird,& 2 cockatiels. We had the craziest day here today, weather wise. It was cold, stormy, nasty & rainy till about 4pm. Mum & skin sis went shopping when it was raining very heavy, but when they came out from the shopping centre, it was warm & idle sun shine! They thought they entered a different world. Mum just saw on the news that it was snowing all day long as close as 50 KM away from here. That is unheard of for this time of year!
Last week on Friday we had a heat wave!!! Crazy, that's all mum can say!!!
Well, another w/e is coming up, i hope yours will be a great one.
Oh yeah, skin sis had a look a the display case & loved it! No more sales from it, but all mum's flyers were gone, so who knows what's coming?

mum's just put pics of the sea gull & new ones of the display case up. These are Sandi's & are much better than mums. It's Sunday afternoon here, mum's just been for a walk along the coast & she did those mammoth stairs (well over 100) 4 times!! She says she feels a bit pooped now, but is determined to get fit again for summer. All this sitting on her backside doing the pals isn't exactly helping with fitness levels, lol!!!
A green winged macaw is in the making right now & looking great!

today mum put up 2 pics. The first one is of the display case at the library which Sandi & her set up yesterday! They did a real good job & had fun doing it. Some people have already inquired about pals & cards from Sandi. There'll be better pics of it coming soon!
The second pic is of the red tailed hawk.
It's getting real hot here already, but it's not gonna last, it's getting back to normal on Saturday.
Mum just went for a walk in the park today & saw a big flock of cockatoos again.
Thanks for liking the fancy chicken. Is your mum thinking of getting it?

the market days are over & here comes the verdict.
Mum sold 11 birds & has an order for one. She also took along her old rock & shell figures, she made years ago & sold 13 of them. She had a lot of fun, met very nice people & made a lot of contacts with people, who are very interested in the pals, so who knows what will come of that? It was a great experience for mum & she said she'll go to the markets all the time now when they come up. The next one is in March next year. Everybody really loved the pals & stood there in awe looking at them. All the stall holders were a bit disappointed that it was so quiet. It wasn't advertised enough.
But mum's happy & wasn't bored at all, she brought some wool & her hook along & did some crocheting while waiting for customers.
She just completed the bird that the one lady ordered & will even hand deliver it to her on Thursday.
Hope you had a good w/e. I was glad dad was home with me, otherwise i would have been alone for a long time.

tonight is the eve of mum's first market day & she's getting very excited. She has prepared everything & is ready to go. She went to the venue this afternoon to reserve a table & have a look. There are quite a lot of tables with all sorts of things to be sold. Mum & Sandi will share a table. New pics are up. She made a new cockatiel & a new budgie this week & also a new kookaburra.
This morning we had rain & coolish weather, but then it got all nice & sunny & warm. Summer is on it's way, that's for sure.I'm so happy dad will be home with me while mum's at the market, well most of the time, b/c he wants to go there & have a look how it's all going for mum, but that shouldn't take long. Mum alerted a lot of friends to come along & have a look & bring their wallets, hehehehe!
Have a great w/e & mum will let you know how it all went.
Please keep your tootsies crossed for her to make a lot of sales.

new pics today are of a new sennie (look at his eyes!)
2 canaries & the pic with all the pals that will go to market, on the spare bed. Mum put price tags on them yesterday & printed more flyers to give to customers. She's very well organized & is getting quite excited now.
The Santa hats are going well too, mum makes about 3-4 a day. Can you believe it, my mum went into the ocean yesterday!! She went for a walk along the beach & at the end of it went into the water. It was very cold at first, but felt great after a while. Hope your day was good too.

mum's happy that you like the idea with the Santa hats, she's made a stack more now & even they're getting better as she goes. She put all the pals she's putting up for sale, on the bed this afternoon & took a pic of them, but it's not on the computer yet. There's almost 80 pals, can you believe it & by the time the market days come along, there will be even more, b/c she's making some more this week. What's your mum thinking of getting? A pal of you maybe?
I had a great w/e with my parronts & mum had a good time on Friday evening for her b'day celebration.

here goes the canary with a Santa hat!!!We know it's a bit early for Christmas themed pics, but mum just wants to show you the idea she had! She's going to make a lot of Santa hats & everyone who orders a bird from now on, will get one for free, also people at the market will get one when they buy a pal! What do you think of that idea? Mum wants to remind you that if you decide to get a pal for Christmas, now is the time to order. The post office has a date line for Christmas mail, so better be early than late! The 2 new tiels are for a girl in Germany & mum send them off today!

no we didn't know you had a new pup, congrats.
Mum just posted new pics. She finished the branch with the momma robin & the nestlings today & look how it is now! There's also a new cockatoo & 3 new cockatiels.
Mum was very upset last night, b/c her best friend's ekkie died. They were both on the phone crying their eyes out.
She was only 9 & was a real bad plucker. Not really sure what caused her to die, but it's very sad!
Another w/e is upon us, so i hope yours will be a great one.

Today he told the one about you comeing to a big party there that Sugar had dressed as a dragon. Another Dragon showed up that was a real Dragon named Lizzie. I have posted a pit in the gallary of Lizz I think you will like.
