 I met a grey-cheeked parakeet many years ago, back when I had budgies. I thought that he was the most inquisitive, active little critter and hoped to get one in the future. After my lovebird, Beetle, passed away, I had hoped to find one.
Sadly, grey-cheeks are not as common or as easy to find as they were some 15+ years ago... but there are breeders out there working with other members of the brotogeris family. A wonderful breeder announced that she had golden-winged parakeet babies available this summer and I jumped at the chance to bring another feathered friend into my life.. |

Hi! My name is Pickle (golden-winged parakeet)
I am a Brotogeris from Bellmawr, NJ.
 Baby, Beebins, Pickle-la-da, Pickle-pot, Pickle-puss, Piglet
 5 years old  M
 Brotogeris
White-striped sunflower seeds, homemade birdie bread and granulated papaya.
 On the top of my cage or on my human's knee.
 Sigh... why must my human touch my food and water dishes? They are mine, mine, MINE!
 She feeds me ALL sorts of fresh fruits, veggies and homemade things, like birdie bread and couscous. She also buys me LOTS of toys.
 I love to soak my food in my water dish... and take a bath in it later!.
 Enjoy each and every day :).
