Zippy's crest goes into full alert position. She backs away.
Polly notices and debates whether or not to continue to scare his fister.
“Zippy, it's an INSTRUMENT”
“WHAT?”
“It is called bagpipes, really I'm in here and not being eaten. I'm going to play it, be ready for a Different sound.”
Zippy starts shaking her head, it bothers her ears.
Today is going to be difficult.
I want to tell you of another bird that has gone to the Rainbow Bridge. We birds were praying and sending good thoughts his way for a while. He was BOTM in March 2010. In Sugar's words:
“I can tell you about Huey (60780). He flew to the Rainbow Bridge last March and his family hasn't been on BC for a while.
When Huey was BOTM we reto-fitted the castle to make it handicap accessible. Huey had a bad foot so his frother Zeebers got a lot of us together to put in ramps for his wheelchair and made everything easier for Huey when he was living there.”
Hulk was BOTD while Huey was King, on his day, he decided to help out Huey. In his words “ I thought it would be fun to have a go-kart track built so that's what I did. I even had a special car build for Huey at the time who had a foot injury and that way he could work the gas and the brakes with just his beak.”
Now that car is still available for disabled birds at the castle.
