Oh Honey What A Sweet Song
I fell fast asleep listening to your beautiful voice singing to me, nothing could have been better other than to have you here to climb in my cupcake with me as we held each other in sweet slumber. Mom said she remembers the movie very well, but is not a familiar with the song. The words are beautiful, and so touching. If I know your Mom she'll have the music put to those lyrics in no time. Guess what? we woke to 4" of snow white fluffy stuff this morning, I sure hope Mom doesn't stick me in the tree to take my picture, I see she's already had Romeo and Rusty out there. Djimo Beemo, What's up, buddy? It's so cold here. We got some snow yesterday and mom let me play with a snow ball. IT was fun. Today is a lazy Sunday. Mom is finishing up her v-day treats and getting ready for the week ahead. She packs up and leaves us every Monday and comes back in a few days. We are getting into the routine of things and have been behaving for dad. Mom gave him some pointers and he said they have been effecitve. That's it in a nutshell. We can't wait for Spring to arrive. My heart is sad as well. Dusty will certainly be missed. He had just been nominated to run for BOTM, and I had blogged him asking for his acceptance. Now that blog will just cause his mom more pain instead of the joy that was intended. I feel so bad for her.

We too are devastated at the loss of our friend Dusty, it was so sudden. Mom corresponded with her via email this morning, she's unable to take phone calls right now she's in so much pain. She asked Mom to reply to some of the condolences left on Dusty's page for her for the next few days. She hopes to bring Dusty home soon for his final resting place. The Vet are doing an autopsy in hopes to determine the cause of death. She's very heartbroken, and in shock as we all are. Vote Grover #60130 for BOTD & Huey #60780 for BOTM
Hi DJ,
Voting Grover today for BOTD, and when you see his adorable pic you will know why. It is going to be weird having a bird campaign for just one day, but hopefully we will get back BOTW before too long. Meanwhile let's make sure he gets his day of glory.
My buddy Huey is running for BOTM this month. He is going to have a rough time, because he goes in for corrective surgery next week on the leg that got broken about a year and a half ago. It never healed properly, so the vet is going to put a pin in there. I wonder if it is a safety pin? I don't see how that will work. Anyway that is the reason I waited till today to push his candidacy. I wanted to make sure he could run, and it is all worked out. His frother Zebers will campaign for him while he is at the hospital, so please vote for him every day.

Oh My Goodness!
I'm getting to spend the day with my DJ, CoCo moves over and pats the perch right beside her. Come here you handsome devil, I'm got a kiss for you that will blow your feathers off, been saving it for quite a while.
I'm sorry you bit Mom but I do so understand what that's all about. I get a feather out of place occasionally and don't want anyone messing with me, especially when they're trying to put me back in my cage. Luckily for now my cage is right in front of a big window and I can entertain myself for hours watching all the things that go on outside. We just had a big ice storm last week and all the trees looked like crystal chandeliers, ice cracking and glistening in the sun. It was quite beautiful, until I looked across the yard and saw a tree had split and fallen under the burden of ice..that means a new perch or two for our cages. DJ you are so cute, I love the way you love to snuggle and love on your Mom..Mom's has always told me you can tell the character of a guy by the way he treats his Mommy. I knew it was the smart thing when I picked you to pick me, giggle. I'm no dummy! But I will tell you tho, I would probably really like your Papa a lot, I adore Mom's son and two grandson's. Sometimes I think Mom gets a little bit jealous when they come around because I want them to hold me and rub my feathers. LUCY'S BACK
Hi Dijimo, Ooh, I'm so excited to hear that song about me...well at least with my name in it. Mommy and Daddy are finally back from ol' Mexico. Yahoo! Kristen, our bird sitter, was very good to us. She came over a lot, sometimes three times a day. Other days when she didn't have to be at college until late in the afternoon, she spent the whole day with us, reading to us from her assigned books. One of then was called "Frankenstiein". Boy, was that ever wierd! On days when she had class late, she came back to cover us up after class so we wouldn't have to go to bed early. She's SO nice to us, but she's NOT Mommy or Daddy. I finally started being nice to Kristen on Friday, just 2 days before Mommy came home. I just decided that she was better than no one. Finnegan was nice to her right from the start, but then he's not much of a judge of character. With me, one has to prove oneself. Beside, I really don't much like anyone but Mommy anyway. We got lots of out of the cage time. I guess we're lucky birdies to have such a nice sitter. Maybe next time I'll try being nicer to Kristen. Thanks for flying by while they were gone.

I can never get enough of your sweet voice, whether it's singing to me or whispering how much you love me. Nights last night make up for all the times we can't chat or be together. I was just telling BoZo how it's not about the quantity of times shared but the quality that's most important. You always make our time together so special, I feel so loved and adored by my guy. and always will. I hope your staying warm sweety, did it get really cold where you live. It's been freezing here, but we don't go out and Mom hasn't been going out a lot either. Mom's best friend who's an artist started working on our bird wall, it's going to be a big tree with all my friends painted in and some will be pictures. She finished the pencil drawing today and it's so cool. Of coarse I'll have you and I perched on the same tree branch together..Mom promised me she would send you a picture when it's all finished, which will take a few weeks to complete.

Hatchday!??
DJ, Happy hatchday to you. Happy hatchday to you. Haaaaaappy hatchday dear Djimo Beeeeeeemo. Happy hatchday to you. And many mooooore. We love yah, pal. Sorry we are a day late. We were very busy yesterday. Can you believe that this morning I was holding my wing up the same as Sonny Bunny! Mom and dad were like, "What?" I think I am ok. I just keep putting it up as opposed to continually holding it up. I must have hurt it when I jumped off my cage to go and beg for breakfast. Yeah, there are 2 things wrong with that sentence. I jumped off my cage when I know I am not supposed to and beg for breakfast. It's this new thing that Peeps and I do when the parents are eating upstairs. We are like radar and when they sit down to eat a meal we charge upstairs and beg at their feet for food. Have you ever heard of a bird begging? And this is something we did all by ourselves. We were never brought to the table ever. We do it at every meal and usually get locked up in the process. Sometimes it's cute but other times it makes them plain mad at us. Well, enjoy your weekend. Yawnnn, CoCo rubs her Eyes & Scratches her Head
Good Morning Darling, I love it when I see an early morning note from my guy waiting on me. I'm so glad you get all that huggy snuggy time with Mom in the morning, I get mine mostly at night when the day winds down and Mom relaxes, right before she falls asleep in her favorite chair. Last night she fell asleep rather early as I was sitting outside my cage. Rusty was sitting on the arm of her chair, when she woke at 1:00 in the morning Rusty was still perched there very quietly watching Mom sleep. He's such a sweet boy and loves everybirdy.
I must confess to you my dear, I've not been my normal self lately, I've nipped Mom a couple of time and I seem to be getting those feelings again, you know, the ones that make us tempermental sometimes. Mom calls it hormonal. I pulled one of favorite toys through the top of my cage so I can sit on it making these little grunty sounds that let's Mom know it's happening again.
I know if you were here it would make me feel so much better, this achy strange feelings would go away.
Guess what? I can laugh now, I've been doing it for a while now but my Mom is slow to catch on. Yesterday she was reading her emails as I perched near her on the back of the dining room chair. She was reading some funny stuff on her computer,and was laughing out loud. Every time she laughed I would laugh to. She looked at me very strangely, then she started pay attention to me, every time she laughed I would laugh in my special Sennie way. A light bulb must have gone off in her head which made her laugh even more. I think she finally got it, I was laughing right along with her. Sometimes humans are so slow to catch on.
Before I go dear I wanted to mention that Sweetheart our BOTW is having a party on her page Saturday night, I don't know what you & Mom have planned that evening but if your going to be there, I'll make Romeo bring me to. Having your flock at these parties always make the parties so much more fun. If you can't come I'll just stay home, sit on my toy and think about you..She will have a Kissing Booth on her page also. I don't mind if you want to give her a kiss, but not to long and not to sweet. I being your girl reserve the rights to those special kisses. Being in my delicate condition right now, I'd hate to show my tail feathers in a bad way, and possible charge at her with intent to harm, you know what I mean dear, so don't put me in that position, giggle..
I gotta go Mom just put some birdy bread in my bowl and that's my comfort food. I feel the need to be comforted. Today is New Years Eve and at the stroke of midnight I want you to pause and think of your little green Sennie girl in Tennessee thinking of you at the stroke of midnight, go deep into your imagination feel my wings around you and my beak pressed to yours in a sweet New Years Eve kiss. Thanks fo rstopping by, brother!! Yeah, I had a great Christmas, got 2 new toys!1 And yummy food, and lots of mommy time because she was home for 3 whole days!! Woohoo!! DON'T EAT THE MISTLETOE!!
Oh my goodness oh my goodness, OH MY GOODNESS!!! Mommy is SOOOO excited! See, she helped rescue and rehabilitate a poor blue crowned conure named Kiwi (not our frother Kiwi, another one). Kiwi is a VERY special bird and mommy says that he has a beautiful spirit and a wonderful, peaceful energy about him. Even after being terribly neglected and severely malnourished (to the point that he is 30 grams underweight!) he is so kind and trusting. He really has a special place in my mommy's heart (not as special as MY place...but almost!) Anyway, he got adopted the other day by a wonderful forever family and his forever family has made him a page here on BC!!! So we are asking a BIG favor...could you go over and visit him? His name is Kiwi and his number is 163505. That would be SOOO great! Oh DJ, I was sitting on Mom's shoulder today when she went to the BC videos to watch the tribute Poirot, Pringle and your sweet Momma singing put together for all our birdy friends that have gone to the rainbow birdge. It was so sad yet very uplifting, the music was beautiful and your Mom has such a sweet voice I could listen to it forever...When the video went to Codie, our sweet Betty, and Turk, Mom was crying so hard she had to stop and wipe the tears away to see. I turned my head to look at her because I didn't know what was wrong. She explained to me how all the birdy's I saw had gone to the rainbow bridge, and one day we'll see them again. That made me feel better and I wasn't so sad anymore. I heard Mr. Chuck and Mom talking about how beautifully it was done, how sweet the music was, and the song, oh DJ, how perfect it was for the tribute to all our friends that have passed. I'm so thankful to have you DJ, and all your family seem like my family now. This past year has been one of my best ever, another year with you. I know the next year will be even better for us. Mom and I hope it will be for you and your family as well, with Mom's music, her job, all your flock mates and your sweet Papa. We love you all so much. We love all our BC families, and can't imagine life without them. We're very lucky to have our homes, family and friends that give us strength when we are week, love us when we need love, and joy in our hearts that make our lives so much more joyful. Go give your Mom a great big hug for me tonight will ya? Dj, Guess what, Sonny is doing much better today. He wing is back in place and he is chatting up a storm. Thank goodness. He is alright. Mom is off all week and we are being pains in the butt already. We keep running into Sonny's room to check on him. Mom said it's not necessary and that's her job. She said one more time and we get locked up. She is getting tired of going up and down the stairs. We just got some treats to hold us over but I don't think that's gonna work for too long. DJ, We got your toys yesterday. Thank you so much. We loved them! We haven't played with the ball yet cause mom is saving it for when she leaves us alone one day. Poor Sonny is still holding his wing up today and it's shaking. He seems in better spirits though cause he is singing a bit. He sings quite often although not yesterday. We weren't near him at all yesterday. We are really just stumped at what happened to him. NObody saw him get hurt or bump into anything. We'll keep you all posted on his condiontion. What a Wonderful Day That Was
I didn't expect the whole flock to come but I'm so glad they did, it was so much fun having you in my home for Christmas, especially since Mom was gone most of the day. That gave us a chance to raid the kitchen of all the goodies she was hiding from us. I knew Sage could find them with the help of Sprout. When Mom came home her hands flew to her mouth as she looked around at the mess we made. I just stood on my perch and giggled..She wanted to know what happened and I told her my FL friends came for a visit and we had a party.. She wasn't to happy but when I pulled the old guilt trip on her about leaving us all day she put a lid on it. When I told her you and I got to sit on the swing together she said oh, how sweet. I wish I had been here to meet everyone. I'm glad she wasn't it was more fun without the adults around watching us and complaining about the noise. DJ, Christmas was great. We got lots of new toys, almost all gone alredy. Our cousin, Sonny, is here for a week. His parents are going skiing in VT. He was out flying before and now his wing is sticking up and he is in his cage with it up and has his eyes closed and keeps shaking it. Mom is really upset. She didn't see him hurt it or fly into anything. We dont know what to do for him. Your mom have any ideas since she has so many birdies?
