DJ, I have actually been good about the curtains. My big thing is the valance. I love to get to the top of the valance and walk across it while I boast to the world: look at me! I am on the valance! Then Pickles rats on me and mom comes into our room and removes me. But I go willingly now. I used to put up a fight. Now I just do it for the attention. So much fun, DJ. Yeahhhhh, IT'S HERE, Your Prezzie
Actually it came Thursday, but Mom was gone all day yesterday it seems, and I had no one to write my notes. She's home today so here I am with a big hug and kiss of thanks for the Biscotti Gourmet Biscuits you sent to ME, the only problem is Romeo and Rusty seem to like them also, that I'm not liking. Mom got a picture of me holding one so I'll put it on my page. I dunked it into my water bowl first to soften the edges for easier munching, then I jumped in with it and took a bath, giggle. I love them, it's was so sweet of you to think of me, and these big galoots I have to put up with. Mom's giving me full authority to dish out the treats as I see fit, so if they don't act right they ain't gettin one!
I've been grooming my feathers this morning getting ready for the dance tonight, I gotta ride with Christy & Romeo tho, what a burn! Ooooo A prezzie for Me
I can't wait to see what it is. I have given orders to uncle Chuck to make a special toy for you, actually he suggested he wanted to make a toy, send it to me so I can put my beaky kisses all over it, than send it on to you..It'll be a while but that'll just give you something to think about. Are you still being a happy boy, I've been moulting feathers like crazy, I hope I don't go bald,giggle. Know what I did yesterday, when Mom was outside I climbed off my cage waddled to her computer desk and got on her lap top key board, I managed to get two keys off before she saw me, was I in big time trouble. Lucky for me she found the keys and was able to attach them. She can't figure how I got on top of the desk, and I'm not tellin! Actually I climbed up the computer cord hanging from the puter, but don't say anything, I might want to do that again. I did all this with three dogs in the house, am I brave or what..Actually they're big wusses, I'd beak their nose if they even got near me..I'm lookin forward to seeing you Saturday night, hopefully Mom will keep her hiney home for a change. BooBoo! What's up, my man? How's the summer been? Can you believe it's coming to an end already. ALways makes us sad. But you know what that means.....pumpkin bread! Things are ok here. Mom got a new job for 8-10 week and she travels Mon-Fri and is only home on the weekends. Boy do we miss her something awful. When she came home this friday we wouldn't leave her side for the rest of the night. I gave her so many kisses you would think I would have been kissed out, but no, I kept giving them. OMG DJ
You had me laughing my green fanny off, about you throwing yourself across the room. I do that to when something happens and I get frightened. Mom took Romeo to the vet last week and he told her she's clipping his wings all wrong, he doesn't have enough balance when he lands. She cuts mine the same way, well hello blondie! maybe that's why I hit the floor like a lead balloon when I jump down..I tell ya DJ, it's a miracle I'm still alive, this woman still has so much to learn. I'm thinking about enrolling her in some night courses for Parrots. Mom said to me, why didn't the vet tell me I was clipping your wings all wrong, they've been trimmed that way since she's had us..
Also Romey's phosphorus was 2.0 a bit low, he wants Mom to feed him more beans and meat. She's been feeding him beans at every meal, that's not so bad, but my cage is right next to his, need I say more!
The bird fair is this weekend and Mom's always excited to see all the birdy's, if she finds the right cage I'll have a new crib, bigger and better with more room for us to romp around in when you visit..Gotta waddle my pet, Your CoCoPuff loves you soooo much..

I HAVE SAD NEWS TO SHARE. WILLY, THE PUPPY, HAD TO BE PUT TO SLEEP ON MONDAY. THE DISTEMPER SPREAD TO HIS BRAIN AND HE STARTED SHOWING SIGNS OF VIRAL ENCEPHALITIS AND GREAT RESPIRATORY DISTRESS. BEFORE HE STARTED SUFFERING ACTUAL PAIN, MOM AND DAD RUSHED HIM TO THE VET'S. THEY WERE WITH HIM TO THE VERY LAST SECOND KISSING HIM AND TELLING HIM HOW MUCH THEY HAD GROWN TO LOVE HIM. BOTH PARRONTS ARE DEVASTATED AND SHOCKED AT HOW, IN A MERE TWO MONTHS, A LITTLE SCRAWNY, MANGY, SICKLY, STRAY PUPPY WAS ABLE TO KIDNAP THEIR HEARTS COMPLETELY. OURS TEARS FLOW FREELY BUT WE KNOW WE WOULD DO IT ALL AGAIN. THERE IS A LUCKY ANGEL IN HEAVEN WHO WILLY IS NOW MAKING A VERY, VERY HAPPY ANGEL!

Sidney here. Hey I did point that out to mom about your markings on your chest and your fisters earlier today and she says that does help a lot. You should see Tweeters...SHE's always wanting on mom. She was hanging on mom's back and I was on mom's shoulder. Tweeters is so funny. If mom bends down I make sure I can see whatever it is she's looking for too. Now with Tweeters that should prove even more interesting. And Tweeters should respond better with mom calling her a her. hehehe
Mom wishes she had even a hint of how old Tweeters is. That would have been as helpful as knowing her name. Ah well, mom just goes kinda by how Kiwi acts. Yeah, he's quite a bit different, but she thinks there's enough attitude that's alike. Don't worry, she doesn't ever compare birds. She knows we're all different, but right now she can see similarities in attitude and she knows how to work around them. We'll keep asking questions as long as Tweeters is with us you can bet.

Sly here. Hey we now have a Sennie in our fosterlings. You should fly by and meet Tweeters. Looks like he/she's here for a while unless Lisa calls and has someone to adopt. We really like him. Since mom doesn't know how to tell the difference between male and female in Sennies we call Tweeters a him.

Hello My Love
Your just the sweetest Sennie DJ, I needed your note today, it made my day. I'm glad you are the kind of guys that absence makes your heart grow fonder, just think what it'll be like when we hook up again, I've been saving all my kisses just for you. Well, I did go to Rainbows page and give him a little smooch good night. He' s all whinny cause his Mommy's been gone to CO, he's such a big baby. I think my good night kiss may have made him sleep a bit better..I to was neglected, both Saturday and Sunday, Mom went somewhere but wouldn't tell me, she's afraid I'd want to tag along. I think she went to her best friends house, she's having a pool put in and Mom wanted to go over and visualize her and her friends all sitting around the pool enjoying themselves when it's finished. She knows I like to go to Julie's when she goes, sometimes we stay over night and I really like doing that, but I don't get much sleep as they like to stay up late watching silly movies, giggling and laughing till no one gets any sleep..
So your getting a new puter desk, just think of all that wood you can chew on while Mom's not paying attention. I like sitting on top of Mom's laptop until I start chewing, than she makes me get on her shoulder. That's okay, cause when she does that I pull her hair to get her attention, and sometimes nip her on the ear.
I can't believe Jazzy bit your toe, you poor baby, but why were you climbing on the cage sweety, don't you know those Budgies are very protective of their cage. I have to admit, I don't want no birdy climbing on my cage, especially that big galoot Romeo, he's way to big for my cage and he's been told over and over to stay away, I scream at him but he must be deaf..Yesterday he made me jump to the floor and had me cornered and Mom heard my screeches and intervened, he was promptly locked up, and Mom cuddled me to calm me down, I just gave him one of my dirty looks while he sat pouting in his cage.
I'm so happy to hear you had such a nice visitor, especially one that you feel comfortable enough to perch on their shoulder. I know Louie's Mom loved that, mine sure would.
Sounds like Sage might have liked that kiss but just didn't want to let on, that's such a sweet story. I bet Queakie is still thinking about that sweet kiss he stole. Sometimes the stolen ones are the best, and you stop teasing her about it, ya hear! Our beaks are sealed, The Coach never has to know about that kiss, besides Sage was innocent, your her witness.

Good Morning Lover Boy
Your Puffaletta with a big smooch for you. I would never try to hide from you. As you might know that big galoot Rainbow decided to put Pico in the Castle for a month, so we were all going to sneak by, cast our votes, then at the end of the month surprise him. You know how hard it is t keep a secret on BC, well that little plan got foiled so I decided to dress incognito, besides all us Sennies look alike, lol. We didn't want his Mom to feel obligated to respond to our notes, she's much like your Mom, has a very busy schedule, plus a new grandson, not to mention Pico taking up the rest of her time. Her poor husband probably doesn't even recognize his wife..My Mom says all the time, how do they do it, those that work, have a husband, and like your Mom, trying to get a career off the ground..My Mom is retired but there are still days she has to tell us, no BC today, go find something else to entertain yourself..We don't much like it but that's life. I'm so glad to hear your doing so well after the big scare you gave us. Don't you ever do that again Djimo, my heart can't take losing you.
I like cooked stuff also, this morning Mom made us steamed veggies in a bag, my favorite are carrots, I eat them raw or steamed. I've never heard of Parrot Biscotti but it sure sounds yummy. Today Mom's making another batch of birdy bread, we all love that stuff, she tries to put nothing but healthy stuff in it so we can have it more often. DJ she even puts egg shells in, they're very crunchy. Yesterday she put chopped lettuce mix in the cockatiels cage, you should have seen Buttercup, she like to rub her chest feathers in the damp lettuce, she had it sticking all in her feathers, it was so funny, of coarse Mom grabs the camera to get a picture of her looking so ridiculous. She the only one that does that. Mom puts all their chopped up veggies on the bottom of their cage, they love to eat down there, Cockatiels are so weird DJ, and never shut up,. I thought Rusty was loud..I have to go for now, I must hurry over to Pico's page and cast my vote for him today, did you by any chance see his latest photo, a great booty shot, lol..Love you my darling. Guess what, I might be getting a new cage, a bigger and better one, mine is rather tall instead of wide and Mom thinks I need more room to, cough cough, have visitors, Coco pins her eyes, then lowers them. The bird fair will be here in August again and that's where she gets our cages, they're so much cheaper than a bird store or on line. If all works out, I'll be perched in my larger cage just waiting for you to visit me. I gotta run, Rusty's taken over the computer today, Mom will probably end up with carpal tunnel before the week is over. She woke this morning with her wrist hurting, it's probably from lifting it to her mouth instead of typing..shhhh, I didn't say that...we like some things to stay in the closet, giggle.. Dj, Sounds like you had a great night. Wish we could have been there. We had a similar incident but short and sweet. Sonny coughs when he hears coughing and dad coughed, Sonny coughed, then mom laughed and Sonny laughed and we laughed. It was funny! Things will be getting back to normal after this weekend. Mango is due to be picked up this weekend and Sonny will go home sometime next week when Mom decides to visit the NJ shore and return him. Unfortunately she will stay over a few nights leaving us without her but she will return home empty handed and then it will just be us 2 birdies, the way we like it. It's been so hot here lately. We've been behaving as much as possible, which isn't much since all these other birds are hogging our attention. We got all sorts of new toys yesterday-this one is a birdie remote. It's a piece of wood with all colored buttons on it. Tore it to shreds! Loved it! Buying us toys is so ungratifying since we tear them up in a millasceond. Seems a waste of money. But we got a new bed (teepee). Peeps always rips our teepees. Mom gets so mad cause they are expensive and I don't rip them. I just sleep in them but the Destroyer does just that-destroys them. Guess what came in the mail today!! Actually I think it came yesterday, but Dad is on vacation and they didn't check the mail. It is a great new toy, that will work really well hanging from the toy arm on top of my cage. Unfortunately Mom hasn't been able to hang it up there yet. I am not through destroying the toy that Christie's dad made for me, and when Mom tries to take it down I lunge at her. I am sure she will sneak it up on me, and I will let you know how I like it.
She thinks it is really cool!

Oh Sweety A Big Sigh of Relief
Mom and I both have been so worried about you the past few weeks. That stinky breath doesn't bother me, but your right, why do our Mom's have to tell everything about us. Just the good stuff I say,lol, like the cuddly way we like to snuggle under Mom's chin and I like to rub my head on her cheek..I hang off her shoulder as she putters around the house, when she bends over I go head first and hang on for dear life.
I was left overnight DJ, all by myself 4th of July, can you believe she left me. Romeo and Rusty went with Mom to her best friends, they stayed overnight. Of coarse the skin kids checked on me but I didn't like it one bit and made it very clear the next day I was mad. I missed the fireworks and everything, and not one crumb of food did I have brought back for all my grief...The cockatiels don't mind being left behind but I do. She promised she'd take me next time, the big guys have to stay home. I'm lot's less trouble than they are, Romeo is constantly busy trying to find stuff to tear up. Rusty's okay but he's still just a baby. I'm beginning to feel like a step child, maybe I'll come live with you one day and we can be together forever. Mom's not getting any younger and starting to show signs of wear and tear and don't forget the droop..lol

I am so glad to hear that you are feeling better. However that still sounds like a pretty scary pattern. I think your mom has the right idea about tracking it, so the vet can figure out what is happening. We don't want anything bad to happen to you my friend!
Ha!! Mom and I had totally forgotten about the surprise, so it will be fresh and new whenever it gets here. I hope it is something for me!!
Has Sonnito found a partner and picked a dance for the Milonga? Mom says I can send the invitations out tomorrow anyway, and if he wants to sit this one out we will understand. I know he misses his Mangita.

So happy to hear your doing better! Now you can celebrate the 4th with your flock & family and have fun! Dad's cooking hot dogs on the grill....mom's got a big bowl of fruit (which I'll get some too)....going to sit on the backyard deck and enjoye the sunshine & fresh air....can't wait!
Today, we're not only celebrating the 4th of July, but four years ago today, mom brought me home. I was just a wee one at four months old. Hard to believe, huh? Me a wee one?

Djimo, So glad to hear you are ok. We were very worried about you. Tell mom to make you some chicken wings as a special treat for you being ok. hehehe To answer your question-yes, I am getting into lots of trubs. Mom was away last Mon-Thur and as a welcome home I jumped on her elipitical machine and chewed the holy hell out of the handles. Then to add insult to injury when she tried to remove me I bit her so hard she was bleeding all over the place. I don't need to tell you where I ended up, huh? All day, too. It totally stunk! Then Pix decided to scream all day long. And I mean scream-nonstop. It was so annoying! He also landed you know where. She said she almost got in her car and drove back to the beach. She was not happy with us. Then dad worked that night until 9pm. She was mad cause she could have stayed another night but decided to come home to see all of us. What a bust!
