 I had been wanting to add, either an African Grey or an Amazon to my home, and both were for sale in the pets for sale in the newspaper, for the same price! When Jenny and I met, the search was over, as she walked over to me and started crawling up my leg, she knew, and I knew, that we would be forever friends, and while she was no longer wanted in her other home, you should see and feel the love she exudes to all who come near her, she adds the brilliance of Summer sunshine to our home daily! I could not possibly imagine my life without Jennifer, without Jen I would cease to be, she gives me reason and makes my heart beat!!. |

Oh Jen, That Picture is so beautiful~~
You are such a sweet girl to have that beautiful picture up there. I am praying that his family and flock are all doing well. It's so hard to imagine having to deal with a loss like that and then for there to be the others, well, it's just too much.
I met a lovely little bird named Spirit. He has a photo shop and is opening a music school tommorrow. You've heard me sing, so I don't have to tell you that I won't be attending!LOL I have other talents so it's ok! Hey Sweet Jenn
What a sweet way to honor Stubby. I didnt know him very well but it is always sad to lose a fid. Makes Mom cry at the thought of going through that pain again. Stubbys Mom losing 3 zons is so heartbreaking. We really feel for her.
We are also keeping Rocky and his family in prayer that they are safe during that stupid hurricane.
Cheetah is so excited about the new toy. Thank you to all of you for being so sweet and generous to us all. It is amazing to have such wonderful friends as you, your flock and Dad. We love all of our friends on here so much and when they hurt we hurt.
We did find a house and we are waiting on the inspection to be done and all that good stuff. It isnt in the country like they were looking cause it would have been too far for Mom to go to work and if it takes any time from us forget it. The house has a screened in patio that they are going to have enclosed so we will be outside all the time. The dog loves the yard cause it has lots of oak trees for shade. Of course I hope they know that is not going to keep me from wandering the house, it will be new territory to explore.

Yesterday was kinda of a somber day for us too, but mom cheered up after talking to your Aunt Betty. Mom was gonna email Bobbi but when she saw that their page was gone she figured she better wait. Bobbi emailed mom today and said she's just not ready to talk to anyone so it's a good thing mom waited. I'm sure the whole flock knows how much all their BC friends care about them but I guess it's just gonna take some time. Losing one is bad enough, but losing three is just too much. It breaks mom's heart to think about how sad it is at thier house right now. Mom always says that if anything happened to me, she doesn't think she could breathe anymore. I just smack her with my wing and tell her that it's important to enjoy the here and now and you shouldn't waste time thinking about what could happen. She takes really good care of me so I think I'll be around to bite another day! Mom will give it a while and then email Bobbi. I know that she's probably thinking it is something that she did, but that's probably not the case. I just hope when she gets the answer from the vet that she will find some peace. It's not right that Stubby's life was so short, but he had a good life with a loving family and we both know tht some birds never get to experience that even for a short time.
When are you heading out for Alfie's house? I am totally green with envy--more green than usuall!! You get to hang with Alfie and the whole McFlock and you are going to have so much fun!!!
It's very cool that Betty is going to visit! She is a super nice lady and so very sweet! I know that Christy is going to be so excited and I'm sure she'll make a really big fuss over you too. She doesn't have the honor of being owned by a zon, so you gotta show her how much fun we are!
Here's a big hug beautiful zon girl and I hope it makes you feel better--even a little better. I'll stop by Asha's page and leave my condolences. I heard that her dad was not feeling well, so I hope he is better.

Scooter walks up to
Jenny and taps her on the shoulder. Jenny jumps and spins around while raising a wing. "Scooter! You just scared the crap out of me! You're lucky I don't beat you to a bloody pulp!" Scooter lowers her wings that she had wrapped around her head to protect herself. "Sorry Jenny. I just stopped by to see how you're feeling today. I know it was a tough weekend for you and many others including myself." Jenny smoothes her feathers back down. "Well, thanks for asking, Scooter. I do feel a little bit better today." She hands her a piece of broccoli. They sit there together for a moment in silence while nibbling. Finishing, Scooter walks over to Jenny and gives her a warm birdie hug. "Okay, then. I'll be taking off now. I was just checking, that's all." Shoot, she barely allows Dad to drive it and that's only when he's moving it to the secondary parking garage. Heard that you all had a great time at the McAviary yesterday. Jensen told me he was running around on the grass and picking up pieces of nuts that Sheba and Kelly were dropping! Well, that a pretty smart way to get some snacks!!
I hope you all have lots more nice days so you can enjoy the outdoors before cooler weather gets there. Up here it's sorta of a strange summer. 85 and sunny yesterday, 61 and raining today. It keeps it interesting at least!
How did your dad's bird club meeting go? I'm sorry you don't get to go anymore. Rainbow and I thought it would be great to go to Petsmart and sit on the handle of the cart and just yell at everyone as we stroll thru the store! Mom says the mental picture of that is too funny and if it weren't for the fact that there are too many people there all the time, and my beak is an insurance liability, we would go for it!

Kiddo here as requested, and just where would you like me to bite you? I can do whatever you need. I would prefer a little love nip, since we are really friends regardless of what happens on the field. Honestly I really came by to say you played a good game, and the fates just stacked the deck against you. We aren't doing so well this year either.
You will still come to the milonga on Saturday, won't you? It just wouldn't be the same without you.
I heard about the wonderful package of toys that you sent Mango and his flock. They were thrilled, and I know why having been the recipient of a similar package myself. Mom is still recycling the nifty toy your dad made for me. I do my best to destroy it, and she takes apart other toys and puts it back together. It is definitely my favorite toy ever. That bell is a piece of heaven.

Thank you so much for stopping by to celebrate my birday with me!I want to thank everyone who stopped in to help me celebrate my 3rd hatchday today. It was a wonderful birday and one I will remember for a long time. Chi chi got me a new toy that I love and had one like it but wore it out playing with it. She made me work hard opening all the boxes that it was in though but sure had a good laugh about that. Mom got me lots of treats and even a few for Chi chi too so she wouldn’t feel left out. Mom got me a few toys too so it was a wonderful hatch day. Wow....Miss Betty & Romey are both flying in this Fall to visit.....and even get to go to the McAviary and visit Rainbow and the flock! That will be so much fun! In fact, if mom didn't have this trip planned we would probably join ya'll. When mom gets back from her trip there is a huge job that starts in Indianapolis which will keep her really busy till near Christmas. Maybe just maybe one day we can visit you and and the McFlock. So happy to see you! It's me.....Pico Piker Biker....love the name!! It surprises mom that when the bikes start up (and they're really not that quiet), it doesn't phase me...not scared at all. But show me a new strange looking toy or a kid I don't know...that's a whole different thing. Mom can't figure me out. Yes, I do love birds too much to not ever get another. In due time I will definately get another, and I know just the place. The BirdExchange. (which is like a bird pound.) People bring in birds they no longer want or can't have any more, and I used to go in there a lot to look at them all, and I guiltily admit I liked one there so much that I was planning on buying him after we got back from our trip even though I had my wonderful Toose. Well, none of that happened anyway because Toose passed while I was away, and the bird I liked there was bought, the same weekend she passed (not that I would have been able to bring myself to getting him anyway.)
But I'll assure you that I'll definately get one in the future. As for now, my parents gave me a puppy, in hopes that she will cheer me up for now, since I wasn't ready for another bird. I adopted her from a rescue just this weekend, and she is just darling. But oh, our house still seems to lack the cheeriness without birds. Left a vote for you Jen Lynn, and thanks for listening. Mom & Dad go on vacation early next Sunday which means I go to the sitters on Saturday. I'll have other birds to chit chat with....who knows.....maybe I'll pick up a new word or two. This month has been busy, but fun for me & mom. This week is going to be really busy for mom at work since her boss is out of town on vacation.....going in earlier & working later. She said she'll definitely need the vacation to recharge. Mom has already telling me that she's going to miss me ~ Thanks for flying by.....leaving you a vote to kick start your week!

I hope you and your flock had a great weekend and I also hope your Dad is feeling ok. The heat is playing havock on everyone and when you have problems it makes it worse. Make sure to give big hug from me. Corona has been chewing very consistant on Captains toy and hers. I guess she figured if wasnt going to she would take them both. She is such a little piggy with everything. Mom still brags about them to all of her bird friends, you would think they were hers. Mom said busy days are good....to a certain point. Your dad is lucky there's a Bird Club near. A lot of my friends have bird clubs. You would think the size of Houston, there would be several....not! You have mom's curiousity up. You should never mention part of anything....she's curious about the special rescue bird. I'll tell you up front....she'll drive you nuts till you tell her. Grover here. Thought I'd fly by and just say 'Hi' so you don't forget about little me. It'd be understandable if you did, seeing as I'm just a small bird, sort of quiet and unobtrusive. As I don't get to hang out with you bigger, more popular birds on your visiting days here and I don't get much social time on the BC, I'd be an easy one to over look.
