Hi Cuz!
how are you and the family! Haven't been by in a while sorry, mom's been real busy with Dad these day's his cancer in the lungs has come back so they have been in and out of doctors offices a lot and seem they are tired a lot, Mom stays busy with we birdies too, our flock has grown besides Reo and me and Peepers there are two new ones the Eclectus Boo Boo and Cracker the amozon, boy can he make a fuss, of course there is still sweet pea and Pe`air and Chiger the mustach parokeet. How's Auntie Joyce doing? Mom's been keeping her in our prayers, and of course hows you daddy Tom doing? Zeka doing ok I am not sure about how to spell her name sorry mom says I am the worst speller even worse than her LOL Heeee he he.Mom said to drop he a note soon, we miss hearing from you all, better go mom's got to clean up the kitchen, she said I could help I like to help by playing in the sink as the water sprinkles down on me! Love and birdie kisses to all Jeepers and the Savannah GAng!Come visit me, Pe~air, Jeepers, Chiger, REO, Sweet Pea & PEEPERS.

Hi Beavis - The Wise Quaker
That is so interesting that you are so loud and I'm so quiet. Mom and Dad wouldn't know what to do if I was that loud. They are very blessed to have such a quiet Quaker like me. My little sister Boo Boo, the Green Cheeked Conure, is louder than I am too. Papa has taught her this whistle and she just won't stop doing it. When we are on Mom's shoulders, we will fight. Not as much now. I think we have an agreement. I will put out a swipe to warn Boo Boo not to come close to me and that will charge her up and she comes after me ready to fight. Mom doesn't like that at all. She gets mad and we end up on our cages. We haven't done it for a while now. Mom is very happy about that. I don't play with toys too much either. I like to untie shoelaces, take apart the metal fasteners that hold food to the cage and the round food dish fasteners. Don't worry wise one you will meet the President one day. Yes, he is funny and he did have a balanced budget. There is much to be said about that today.

The problem is that the human has been letting me down recently. He's spending all of his time in the hospital or just sitting around doing nothing. He ain't worth much, that is for sure! I hope your human is doing better after her surgeries. Thanks for the warning, but no duh. Zabrina is an extremely gentle cat & has grown up around hamsters & birds. She even had Gee accidentally fly in to, smack in the ribs, & she did nothing at all (Gee was just figuring out 1 1/2 yrs ago he could fly over to the couch). We are very cautious with the cats & birds, when we first got Gee just over 2 years ago: he would come off his cage, walk across the floor to where dad or I was at, the white feathered bird even walked right between the 2 cats one time & the cats looked at him like "your suppose to fly, not walk." He fly's all over the bird proof apartment now. The cats are very good about it, on rare occasions, they do get sprayed with a water bottle.
I hope you come in & visit more.

How is your momma doing in all this heat? I do hope that you have good air conditioning, the heat is beastly lately. Momma told Auntie Deb tonight that it is like a preview of Hell. I think that momma finally has the air conditioning fixed for good. It was blowing the circuit breaker EVERY NIGHT! (Which is better than every day, but there were a few days when she came home and found the circuit breaker blown and the house was up to the mid 80s in temp.) That is a great story. Who knew? Mom and Dad thought your name had something to do with Beavis and Butthead. The interesting part is that I noticed that you said a "quiet" bird. Are you one of those noisy Quakers that I read about but never see. My Mom wanted to tell you what I do. When they first brought me home, I would cat call. I decided I was above that whistle after a year and would do another one when they asked me "are you a pretty bird". Now I won't do that one either. I'm stubborn in that way. I make my beak move like I'm doing the two whistles but nothing comes out. Mom says that is not a true whistle if no sound comes out. I also whisper when I talk. I say everything that Mom says but I don't say it out loud. I am so quiet. Mom has read all these stories about how noisy Quakers are but it has yet to materialize. My Mom also says that she hasn't heard a "real" Quaker sound after the first year she brought me home. Your Mom probably knows what that means.
You still have many years to go Beavis. I noticed that you've flown with the other birds and played with giraffes. You met the Dalai Lama. That must have been very interesting. Did he impart any words of Wisdom to you? May be some that you would like to impart to a juvenile Quaker. Be Patient. I know the President is busy but I am sure he would be very happy to meet with you. You can help him with his Foundation.

Thank you to all my old friends and new friends for making me BOTD. What an honor to go along side my other honors. You made mom very, very happy. She is doing cautiously better. She's still very weak, but gets around. Many thanks for the prayers sent her way, they always work. I will try to personally write to each bird that voted, before mom falls asleep again.
