2007 NCBS Youth Poster Contest

This year's National Cage Bird Show youth contest: Design the 59th Annual Show Poster

national cage bird show poster contestThe National Cage Bird Show and its sponsor Higgins Premium Pet Foods announced this year’s youth contest: Design the 59th Annual Show Poster.

The theme is “Your Show of Shows.” The contest runs from July 1 to October 1, 2007.

The winning poster will be printed and prominently displayed at the 2007 show in Denver, Colorado, November 15 to 17. The winning recipient will receive $500 from Higgins Premium Pet Foods.

The National Cage Bird Show Youth Poster Contest is open to all high school students from the 9th to 12th grades.  Grade level is determined by the grade the student is or will be enrolled in as of November 1, 2007.

Entries will be judged on creativity, originality and expression of theme and the host city where the show is being staged. The goal of the contest is to promote responsible companion bird ownership and the spirit of competition.

This is a really good idea to get kids interested in birds. I would have loved to enter one of these as a kid.
