Would You Buy A Robot 'Keet?

Motion-Activated Singing Parakeet Perfect Polly is being sold on "As Seen on TV." What do you think about this robotic parakeet?

BirdChannel Editors

Are robots our future? While the video makes a good point that live parakeets require constant care, is the world ready for robot parakeets? Or is this little parakeet going to the birds? (Literally: An actual parakeet might love this!)

Let us know what you think about Perfect Polly in the comments!

The video also features a brief cameo of our Popular Birds: Parakeets too!

Guess it would be ok under circumstances that don't permit a real bird.

It looks and acts real. Yes, it is a robot. But it is going to sell well as people can pretend what they want about the bird. On the plus side, there is no cage or room cleaning needed. No food or treats or toys to buy. The biggest savings is from no need to see a vet for health care. Now we will need a robot bird owner. Cheers.
